A
slight but satisfying portal fantasy, a sweet tale of fragile people
told with great tenderness and compassion. I can never find much to say
about Le Guin's novels, it seems. The humanity of the characters was
heartbreaking, infused with all the painful joy of life and the tricky
business that is other people. Breaking that down into coarse chunks for
what passes for a review around here feels wrong, somehow.
